An effective method fo marketing a product to place a customer into the shoes of a typical user.

"I've got a secret but I can't tell anyone"

This opening statement defines a need state for this privacy service. Then you explain the scenario and how the product can benefit that customer. If you can translate this into an attractive case-study, then you have a winner.

Is it commercial enough?

Explaining the commercial viability of your new product is a given. As a designer of credit, you should be abe to pull together the opinions, the anecdotes of value and the potential commercial consideration that add value to you products or service and graphical tell that story. Here I have used the ABC marketing technique:

  • A = Attract Easy message – What’s in it for me?
  • B = Build How does it work? Simple 1-2-3
  • C = Capture Establish credentials

Market your product or service

Try and place you customer inside that world of your product. Graphically explain and reinforce your message. Add the human element, if appropriate, and include testimonials and product shots. Remember, a picture tells a thousand words. Finally, wrap up with a Call To Action (CTA).
