How to push your users to download your app

Provide a mobile web experience that makes you want more.

This is the dilemma. You have the resources, you have the idea but the richer and more immersive experience is inside your app, not your mobile web site. How do you push your user to download it?

Download, download, download

Providing a unified experience across all channels can stretch the most resourceful of companies . Sometimes a better strategy is to provide the ultimate level if functionality, the best UX on the platform that can best deliver that experience.

The Art of *Persuasion*

Providing a push mechanism, and repeating that mechanism is a sure fire method of *persuading* your customer to head to the app store of their preference and download .

A better experience

Be clear, with your designs, on what you are trying to achieve. The purposeful limited functionality implemented here is again a subtle hint that a better experience is available inside the app.

Share

By offering share functionality the user can accomplish limited tasks but always be mindful that you would prefer your customer base to download the app. There will be scenarios where the user will only have the option of Mobile Web, this can help many different user cases.

  • Lost their phone
  • Using another phone
  • Accessing from a different platform
